Br Neville Solomon commissions Sacred Heart Adelaide students ahead of immersion

Br Neville Solomon, Acting Executive Director of Australian Marist Solidarity (AMS), recently visited Adelaide, where he met with students from Sacred Heart College preparing to take part in immersion experiences across the Pacific.

At the Marcellin Campus in Somerton Park, Br Neville commissioned 56 students by presenting each with an AMS Solidarity Badge. The commissioning formally marks the students’ upcoming immersion experiences and sends them out with a sense of mission and responsibility as they prepare to engage with Marist communities across the Province.

Some of the students, accompanied by Damian Ruiz, a teacher at Sacred Heart College and a long-time member of the Marist family, will soon travel to the Solomon Islands for their immersion.

During his visit to Adelaide, Br Neville also attended the Feast of the Assumption Mass at Sacred Heart College and took part in a local Marist Association gathering to celebrate the feast.
